Salt-free alternative to water softeners
Softening water requires salt or an ion exchange resin that needs to be backwashed daily (20-100 gallons) because it’s designed to remove minerals.
Cities are banning the sale of these antiquated systems due to the environmental impact (a serious problem impacting more than just wasted water).
“We wanted to improve operational efficiencies, save energy and extend RO membrane lifespans”
After installing two Vulcan descaling systems on our boiler hot water pipelines and reverse osmosis system, we have made significant improvements that surpassed our initial expectations.
97.5% Direct Contact Ratio
The high copper alloy purity Vulcan impulse copper bands guarantee the cleanest possible frequency transfer output to maximize the interactive frequency coverage area. The specially designed impulse bands are extremely thin (wrapped in a protective plastic shield) and flexible with a pipe grip design to maximize gap isolation between each coil. The copper treatment bands are a crucial to the performance of the water treatment and once installed they never require maintenance or adjustment.
Impulses radiate 9-16 feet on both ends of the impulse bands across the pipeline to make up the primary water treatment zone.
Stops the formation of water scale
When water flows between the impulse band’s primary treatment zone, the sticky structure of untreated water scale crystals are broken into smooth rod-shaped mono-crystals preventing the hard water minerals from bonding to surfaces. The more rod-shaped crystals there are the stronger the scale-prevention effects. Billions of microscopic rod-shaped descaling crystals behave like brushes, interacting with existing mineral deposits, loosening them and removing the scale with the water flow.
Cleans the effects of untreated hard water damage
Rust particles become embed in mineral scale causing metal corrosion and pipe pitting that can eventually cause pipes to burst and unseen water leaks behind closed walls. Bacteria and other pathogens present in water use mineral scaling buildup as a food source and breeding environment (bio-film). When you remove hard water scale from water pipes, mechanical equipment, heating elements, appliances, etc. you will also be removing rust particles and the bacteria growing in the scale. This process is gentle and the clean out time frame will vary depending on the descaler model installed and the thickness of your existing limescale buildup.
Prevents scale damage and protects against corrosion
Residential homes and commercial structures with PEX, PVC and other plastic water pipes are still not resistant to the corrosive effects of hard water because of the extensive path water takes to reach your faucet. Oxidation occurs in all metal pipes through contact with hard water. These oxides seriously affect the pipe surfaces and leads to hidden corrosion. Vulcan’s Impulse Technology generates an electrophoresis effect resulting in a (iron, zinc, copper) metal-carbonate shield on metal surfaces; protecting metal surfaces rom harmful substances which could lead to additional corrosion.
