TopTex Textile Factory

Before Vulcan was installed:

Active water softener

Stopped water softener

The factory uses two large softeners to treat their water. Even the use of water softeners also poses serious scale problems at 23.4 GPG.  During the Vulcan test, the water softener continues to operate.

Testing Period:

The original trial period was intended to last 2 - 3 weeks, but after the installation, the company realized their water flow was only 5 hours out of every 24 period. This is because the water does not remain in the pipes; it is only present in the pipeline when their cooling system empties.

Results after 4 weeks:

Limescale began to clean itself even after 5 days of treatment (about 5 hours per day over a 4 week period). These 4 weeks (5 days of actual descaling) was equivalent to prior 1-year long period of their previous efforts to descaler their water pipelines.

Results after 7 weeks:

Observed Benefits:

  • Productivity increase due to the reduction of scale incrustations
  • Less time and effort spent on cleaning cooling towers
  • Spend less on machinery maintenance
  • More efficient use of energy costs
  • Fast amortization of acquisition costs
  • Reduces chemical use in many areas
  • Maximum working life of production equipment
  • More reliable water supply
  • Extended cleaning intervals
