About the Energy Complex (EnCo)
The Energy Complex (EnCo) in Thailand was initiated by PTT Public Company Limited (PTT) and PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP) as a project to consolidate office buildings for PTT affiliates, energy-related companies, and the Ministry of Energy. The goal: save time in business communication and boost operating efficiency.
This landmark complex has been awarded the highest level of Platinum Green Building Certification from LEED (Leadership of Energy and Environmental Design)—making it the first office complex in Thailand and all of Southeast Asia to achieve this prestigious certification. The Energy Complex serves as the prototypical building in Thailand for energy conservation, harmonious coexistence of industry and the environment, and optimal utilization of resources.

The Challenge: Ozone Treatment Couldn't Stop 330 Lbs of Monthly Scale
Even with LEED Platinum certification and advanced water treatment, the Energy Complex faced a persistent problem:
- Ozone System Ineffective: Before installing Vulcan, the building used an ozone water system to treat the condenser. It could not effectively treat or manage scaling.
- Massive Scale Accumulation: Maintenance crews observed massive scale particles in the basin of the cooling towers.
- Every month, scale was collected from the basin and consistently weighed about 330 Lbs (150 kg).
